Baiting the Russian Bear

Daniel 7:1-5
In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel saw a dream and visions in his mind as he lay on his bed; then he wrote the dream down and related the following summary of it. Daniel said, "I was looking in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the great sea. And four great beasts were coming up from the sea, different from one another. The first was like a lion and had the wings of an eagle. I kept looking until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man; a human mind also was given to it. And behold, another beast, a second one, resembling a bear. And it was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth; and thus they said to it, 'Arise, devour much meat!'”

In Daniel’s prophecy we find nations and empires symbolized in various ways. In this particular vision we see the nations compared to various beasts. Babylon is described as a lion with wings of an eagle. This is also a symbol well known among ancient Babylon. Pictures of a lion with wings of an eagle were inscribed upon the Ishtar Gate leading into ancient Babylon, and certainly were found in many other locations.

The spirit of certain nations reappears throughout history. The early church fathers described Rome as manifesting the spirit of Babylon. Egypt has also manifested this spirit, and in this present hour the Anglo-American empire resembles Babylon. It is far from coincidental that England’s national symbol is the lion, and America’s symbol is the Eagle. Thus we see in their joining the same image used to depict ancient Babylon.













In Daniel’s vision which we are examining we see that the wings of the eagle are plucked. To bring this forward to a present day application, it is a symbol of the fall of America. After this we see a bear described who is given authority to devour much flesh, and he is pictured as having three ribs in his mouth. These ribs symbolize various things, yet on one level they are a picture of the flesh the bear is devouring. Most people will readily recognize that among the nations today, Russia is depicted as a bear.

In 2004 America was struck by four hurricanes. At the time the Lord revealed to me that these hurricanes each represented nations that would strike America. The most damaging hurricane in 2004 was Hurricane Ivan. Ivan is a name associated with Russia. It is a Russian name, and a number of her leaders bore this name, including Tsars Ivan the Great and Ivan the Terrible. It should be noted that Hurricane Ivan struck the United States 3 times.

As mentioned, the symbols of Daniel’s vision have already been fulfilled as nations and empires have arisen to displace others throughout history. The Leopard of Greece followed the Medes and Persians, and the dreadful, ten-horned beast of Rome followed Greece. Yet these visions have application to the day we live in as well. Solomon tells us:

Ecclesiastes 1:9
That which has been is that which will be, and that which has been done is that which will be done. So, there is nothing new under the sun.

In 2003 a coalition of forces, which were overwhelmingly American and British, invaded Iraq and established sovereignty over the nation. Iraq is the ancient home of Babylon, and thus we see the Lion and the Eagle once more guarding the gates of this ancient empire. Truly, that which has been done is that which is being done today. The Russian bear figures significantly in what will come in days ahead, and the stage is already being set, though the national media is refusing to report upon it, keeping the citizens of America in the dark.

The Anglo-American empire has been seeking to corral the Russian bear for many years, restricting its sphere of influence. History reveals that it was Western nations and international banking interests that led to the overthrow of the Tsarist regime in Russia, replacing it with a Communist system. At the time Russia was becoming a threat to Western hegemony as her industrial infrastructure was rapidly expanding, she had an abundance of natural resources, and her middle class was beginning to burgeon. Something had to be done to diminish the threat, and the answer was to replace capitalism with Communism, a very inefficient system for growth and expansion.

In more recent years, Russia has unshackled herself from some of the limitations of Communist economic policy, and has introduced some capitalistic reforms. The results have been astounding. There has arisen a new middle class. The standard of living has improved dramatically for her citizens, and the nations economic might has exploded. In 2006 Russia completely paid off her national debt owed to the Paris Club of Creditors. This debt of approximately 45 billion dollars was paid off early as Russia was awash with money from the sale of oil and other natural resources.

At a time when America has become the greatest debtor nation in the history of the world, owing more money than all other nations of the world combined, this nation which she has sought to confine and control has become debt free. With economic freedom comes greater independence from the influence of outside nations. If it is true that “the borrower becomes the lender’s slave,” then it is equally true that getting out of debt sets one free from slavery.

This should cause the wise to gain some understanding. Russia, having paid off her debt is free on the national level to pursue her own goals. America, as the greatest debtor on earth is enslaved politically. To whom does America owe her money? Much of the debt is owed to the Federal Reserve, which is a shadowy organization of international bankers such as the Rothschilds. Charts of who owns the Federal Reserve can be found online. The borrower is truly the lender’s slave, and since 1913 when the Federal Reserve system was put in place, having cunningly been brought to a vote on Christmas Eve, December 24 when most of Congress had already gone home, American government has had a new master. A number of presidents have fought bravely against the tyranny of banking overlords, including Lincoln, who was assassinated, and John F. Kennedy, who was also assassinated.

On June 4, 1963, President Kennedy signed a Presidential Executive Order 11110. This order virtually stripped the Federal Reserve Bank of its power to loan money to the United States Government at interest. Kennedy declared the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank would soon be out of business. This order gave the Treasury Department the authority to issue silver certificates against any silver in the treasury. President Kennedy was assassinated five months later. During the five months, Kennedy had issued 4.3 billion dollars in silver certificates, and these were a great challenge to Federal reserve notes, for silver certificates were backed by silver, while Federal Reserve notes are backed by nothing. After his assassination, Congress ceased issuing any further silver certificates.

America now owes in excess of 6 trillion dollars to the Federal Reserve. With recent bailouts, this figure is probably much higher. Only the naive would think that a nation so deep in debt is not slave of the lender and carrying out the will of its master. Yet, the tyranny has gone forth unchecked because there are many who are naive, and many more who are content to let matters lie, willing to get in bed with the Devil himself, as long as their own pursuit of pleasure is undisturbed.

Let me remind you of the words of Christ:

Matthew 10:16-17
"Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; therefore be shrewd as serpents, and innocent as doves. But beware of men...”

People of God, there are wolves in this world. Men of fierce appetite who seek to devour all, and to control all. I am not advocating that the Christian should seek to overthrow these men through carnal means, but I am advocating that the people of God should not be insensible of such things, being gullible, naive, believing every falsehood and deception served up by Satan and a corrupt political system. Be wise in your understanding. In discerning the cunning of the enemy you may escape his snare.

Consider the agenda of Satan, and those in league with him. Satan desires to establish his rule over the entire earth, creating a single world government in which he will be worshiped. He has in league with him the merchants and the money changers (international financiers), and they are carrying forth his will in the earth. These financiers can control those who owe them money. A nation and people who are not indebted to them represent a great threat. Such nations are independent of their control.

It would be a cunning plan indeed, to get America and Russia into war with one another. Even if they destroy one another, the financiers come out the winners. They have reduced the threat of a growing and independent Russia, and their ability to control the direction of nations is left intact as all other nations are indebted to them. The eagle’s wings are cut off, but the lion still remains. I have found it of interest to note that much of the collapsing infrastructure of American financial institutions is being transferred to England at this time. Most recently it was noted that Barclay’s bank was being sold some of the key assets of Lehman Brothers. Barclay’s is a London bank, and so even if America collapses, and she will, the control of the international assets will be retained by the British lion. (Also of interest, Barclay’s symbol is that of a black spread eagle.)


















This eagle is outside the headquarters of Barclay’s London offices. Such an unpleasant symbol should give one pause to consider the spirit of those running the bank.

The stage is being set now for a Russian conflict with America. If both countries should be greatly injured, and no longer be world powers, this will accomplish the goals of those whose diabolical schemes are coming to fruition in this hour. Unbeknownst to most Americans, the conflict between Russia and America is escalating seriously. Since America sponsored the Georgian invasion of South Ossetia on the eve of the Olympics, and Russia responded to this act of agression and slaughter of civilians, there has been a continuous ratcheting up of the conflict.

America and her NATO allies had been seeking to isolate Russia by alienating her from her former Warsaw Pact allies. A number of these nations have been brought into NATO, even after promises were given to Russia that this would not occur. America has been seeking to place missile defense systems on Russia’s doorsteps, and Russia has responded with logical resistance to such an intrusion of her sphere of influence. A top Russian general stated flatly that if NATO places American missile systems in Poland, that Russia will consider it justification for a nuclear strike against Poland.

After the Russians responded to Georgia’s attack and slaughter of Ossetian civilians and approximately 80 Russian soldiers, America has come out strongly defending Georgia. She even sent one of her most modern warships, the USS Mount Whitney, which carried advanced missile systems, to Georgia, under the guise of carrying humanitarian aid. Russia objected, asking why America would send a military ship with modern missile systems for such a purpose. Russia’s leaders declared that if America did so, she would respond with a calm, measured response.

In turn, Russia sent two TU-160 Blackjack bombers to Venezuela. These long range, nuclear capable bombers were part of Russia’s response to American encroachment upon her sphere of influence.

Russia has also scheduled naval maneuvers with Venezuela for November, and is sending a fleet of ships to the area, including the heavy cruiser Peter the Great, one of the world’s largest warships.
















Rather than backing off, America has ratcheted up the conflict further. She engaged in talks with Turkey to establish a naval base there. In turn, Russia arranged with Syria to use a couple of her ports as naval bases, placing them precariously close to Israel. Russia also said it was time to re-evaluate her presence in Cuba, suggesting that she might establish a greater military presence there.

For those Americans who see the Russian actions as heavy handed, consider that America is doing precisely the same thing to Russia, and is coming just as close to her borders with advanced military weaponry as Russia is threatening to come to do.

The question arises, why are these actions not being reported in the news media of America? Certainly someone has an agenda, and are playing a dangerous game that they fear most Americans would not support. For this reason they keep the entire matter hidden. Russia has declared that if America or Israel attack Iran that they will consider it an act of war, and will respond as if they had been attacked. Right now America has assembled the biggest fleet in the Persian Gulf since the start of the war in Iraq. She is threatening to blockade Iran, which by definition of international law is an act of war.

America has four aircraft carrier groups in the Persian Gulf at this moment. This is a massive accumulation of force.

Those who are alert and discerning of the times should understand that America is beset with many perils at this moment. Her economy is collapsing. She is engaged in military brinkmanship with a formidable foe, even a bear that has been backed into a corner and is set to attack. It is an hour to live in sober anticipation of the things to come.
