The audio files from the North Georgia meeting have now been posted. You can find them listed under the heading "If You Would Be Perfect."
http://www.heart4god.ws/Audio/index.htm
There are seven parts to this teaching series. The Spirit was guiding profoundly in these messages, and they contain an expression of the Father's heart for all His sons and daughters. The message sets before the saints a standard that exceeds the common conception in the hearts of the vast majority of Christians. It is a call of the Father for His children to arise to the call to attain to the fulness of the stature that belongs to Christ.
Matthew 5:48
"Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
Ephesians 4:13
Until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fulness of Christ.
The audio files include the music of Brandy Vaughn. Our Father graciously made it possible for her to attend the meetings, which was a blessing to all who attended.
I anticipate having the audio files from the Tennessee and the Missouri meetings posted this coming Saturday (May 29th). Please keep Randy Simmons and me in your prayers as we travel. It is the Father's grace that carries us forward.
Note: Audio number 5 is not yet posted, but it should be available shortly.
Here is a devotion that I received this morning.
Lord, Disturb Me
By Pastor Marvin Williams
I follow the Radical Rabbi named Jesus, but I am too safe, too comfortable, too undisturbed.
I hang the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door of my life because I don't like my comfort, safety and status-quo living being interrupted by the turbulence of big dreams, the deep waters of radical obedience, the rough seas of suffering, and the dark nights of uncertain adventures.
The other day, I ran across a prayer, written by Sir Frances Drake (explorer and naval pioneer during the Elizabethan era), that disturbed me. This prayer affected my spiritual equilibrium so much, that I want to share it with you, in hopes that it will disturb you like it did me.
Don't just gloss over the words; sit with it for a minute and then spend some time, dissecting and parsing its content. Then ask God to help you identify "smooth sailing" areas of your life. Next, ask him to disturb the places in your life where you are safe, comfortable, undisturbed.
Here's the prayer:
Disturb us, Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves, when our dreams have come true because we have dreamed too little, when we arrive safely because we have sailed too close to the shore.
Disturb us, Lord, when with the abundance of things we possess, we have lost our thirst for the Waters of Life; having fallen in love with life, we have ceased to dream of eternity; and in our efforts to build a new earth, we have allowed our vision of the new heaven to dim.
Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly, to venture on wider seas where storms will show your mastery; where losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; and to push us into the future in strength, courage, hope, and love.
I know I have been sailing too close to the shore lately and I am asking Jesus to disturb me to action.

Great prayer. Thanks for posting, Joseph. More on Drake's life from a Christian can be found here. It seems he was placed at just the right place at just the right time.
ReplyDeleteI attended a funeral, yesterday, for a man who completed many bold, deep-water sailing challenges during his lifetime. Remembrances were filled with anecdotes from those adventures.
I believe they are instructive for the times we live in. One situation which was described involved sailing with the wind (Holy Spirit) but against the tide (of men's opinion) through very cold water that could have killed in a few minutes -- a confluence of forces that drove up large waves. This made some very sick and put most in fear but the captain (the man being eulogized) persisted and brought all to safety. Our Lord will too. We just have to trust him.
i just read the prayer and indeed for me it was a word in season, it chocked me and challenged me, i prayed and said that iam scared of letting go of all, then realised what i was saying that i had fear,... if i have fear then i don't have love and i don't know my father, i was reminded of this verse: 1Jn 4:18 There is no fear in love: but perfect love casteth out fear, because fear hath punishment; and he that feareth is not made perfect in love. i then said to our father please help me to know you more so that i can trust you more but he said no, "trust me more to know me more" it blew my mind, its only through our letting go of all that we can really know him , i hope that i find the courage to let go, or should i say allow him to work his work in my life,... (i so desperately want to be made a perfect and mature son and pleasing to him) i can sense in my life right now that there is a big step that i am just about to take which will change my life for ever iam scared but my trust is in our lord
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful prayer - thank-you
ReplyDeleteJoseph,
ReplyDeleteI wonder if anyone else is having trouble listening to your audio files. The reason I say this is because when I discovered your blog, I listened to the VIDEOS (with no trouble).
I then wanted to listen to the AUDIO files. Every single audio file I click on - play for a few seconds - and then ends. The tracking tab moves across to the far right, indicating that the file is only a few seconds long. In other words, it's as if the file is only a few second-recording.
I have no troubles listening to other audio files on other sites -- in any format...so I'm wondering if there is something wrong with your audio files...formatting.... I don't know.
Dear Lisa,
ReplyDeleteWhat I believe may be happening is that the audio file is trying to play before it is downloaded. The files are generally 20 MB in size. It takes some time for the entire file to download, then it should play properly.
I will check into the matter further and see if there is a better way to post them. I know others are able to listen to them as a number of people have commented to me on the various talks that have been given.
Thanks Joseph,
ReplyDeleteI waited and watched for it to download. They load like other mp3s...so I looked for the indicator to indicate that the file is fully downloaded...then clicked on play...and like my previous note stated - it only plays for a few seconds and then ends.
I pray I can find a way to listen to them.
Yah bless and keep you brother.
Joseph - I'm attempting to download the files (save to my computer) and try that way again. I'll let you know if I'm successful this time or not.
ReplyDeleteLast time I tried to download (save as) - it only downloaded a very short message -- a few seconds..just like when I played it streaming.
So, far the first file is larger than the last time I attempted to do this:)! Hallelujah.
Anyway, I'll persevere and let you know if there are any problems, brother:).
Yah bless:).
Dear Lisa,
ReplyDeleteI would be interested to know which Internet Browser you are using. I have found that some work quite well, and others do not. I currently use Mozilla Firefox, and it works well for most things I need it to do.
I use firefox:)....and all plugins are updated. I've successfully downloaded some of the audios. They are around 20mb like you said...so should be okay. But I still can't just click on them to listen...it only loads a few seconds of audio.
