We have a field near our home, too, and brought home a half gallon this afternoon. (We did not take time to pick them.) We are planning to put some in the freezer and perhaps make some strawberry wine. When we pick berries and grapes these days, we cut the top out of a gallon milk jug, leaving the handle in place. We tie it around our neck at chest level for picking grapes, which hang higher.
