In truth, many of my favorite authors have had dire words of warning issued against them. I remember in my twenties being very blessed by the writings of Watchman Nee. My Dad did not share my enthusiasm for a minister he revered had warned him to stay away from Wathcman Nee's writings, saying that he was into spiritualism.

Such a charge no doubt arose from the Baptist indoctrination of the minister who had no experience with the gifts of the Spirit, or a Spirit led life.

I have encountered others who were very much opposed to the writings of J. Preston Eby, declaring him a heretic because of his writing titled "The Savior of All Men." My own judgment of this writing, and I believe it to be the Lord's judgment, is that it contains truth that an apostate church has departed from.

What I have been able to discern is that the rejection of Hannah Hurnard by the Christian religious system arose over the same doctrine, the reconciliation of ALL MEN through the cross of Christ. Many not understanding this doctrine, which is in fact Biblical and the doctrine of the apostles, have characterized it as heresy, and those who embrace it as heretics.

I have heard people who did not understand what the term "Ultimate Reconciliation" meant to confuse it with Universalism, the teaching that there are many ways to God. To relate these two doctrines together is a great error. They have no relation to one another.

You may note from my own writings that I am stridently against Universalism. There is only One name given under heaven whereby men must be saved. At the same time, I am convinced of the truth of the ultimate reconciliation of the creation back to God "Through Christ."

I expect that from your comments you are already familiar with my book "God's Plan of the Ages" which sets forth this teaching. For those reading the comment who have not encountered it, you can find it here:

http://www.heart4god.ws/id195.htm

If someone is making serious accusations of heresy about a fellow Christian and sister in Christ, it is your responsibility to investigate the charges if they are of concern to you. What is the basis for the charges of gnosticism, of pantheism, etc.? I do not doubt that they stem from the authors belief in the ultimate reconciliation of all men, and that there is some distortion in the charges.

It is common for accusers to be inaccurate in their charges. The apostle Paul, and even Christ, were accused of many things of which they were not guilty.

I encourage you to investigate the matter thoroughly yourself for the error and character of the accusers may be more of a concern that the one they are accusing. It was certainly so with Paul and Christ.

May you be blessed with peace and understanding in these days.Joseph Herrinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14729899526301330525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6945380218619316662.post-87430901152301945972010-08-30T21:50:37.377-04:002010-08-30T21:50:37.377-04:00Dear Joseph, I have followed your blog for about 3...Dear Joseph, I have followed your blog for about 3 years and I do bear witness to many things that you have shared in the past. Including many of the writings that many of my Christian friends consider are heresy. I have been doing some research on Hannah Hurnard. Wikapedia stated that later in her life she had embraced pantheism and gnosticism. Also on the website, Personal Freedom Outreach /www.pfo.org/high-pla.htm
stated she was into new age teaching by the time she died.
I know that many people that have followed the mainstream teachings of the church find it hard to believe that what they believe could be flawed teaching. I only want to use wisdom as I seek The Lord and the REAL Truth and this info on a book/author you are so enthusiastic about is cause for me to be cautious. I just wanted to ask you about what was stated about her. Thank you for your attention to my question.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6945380218619316662.post-73461232306761345922010-08-19T23:52:32.932-04:002010-08-19T23:52:32.932-04:00I found very interesting, I took look up in date o...I found very interesting, I took look up in date of Aug 17, 2010 where article is "Near-Earth Asteroids" I strong noticed on "On August 17, 2010 there were 1144 potentially hazardous asteroids." seen as "144"
... anyway know this "17" of date is a seventh prime number and only nine times equal 153. That's what 153 made of.
