Thank you for writing. riding a bike ...Dear Jeane,

Thank you for writing. riding a bike locally is not too much of a hardship at this time of year. We don't get much snow in the winter, either, but they can be cold, and the summers very hot. I adjust by making my trips to the store in the summer early in the morning when it is still cool.

Regarding groceries on a scooter, there are storage boxes/trunks available for them, plus they have storage under the seat. A person would have to make smaller and more frequent trips to the market, but it is manageable. I am getting by now most days with just my bike.

What we often consider a hardship here in America is commonplace and taken for granted in other nations. There are tens of millions in China and other Far Eastern nations for whom a bicycle is their main form of transport, or walking.

I remember a college professor asking the class some years back what they thought the most common mode of transportation was in the world. The answers the students gave ranged from cars, trucks, mototrcycles, bikes, train, etc.. But no one got the answer right. The most common mode of transport in the world is still walking.

Christ and His disciples walked in a day when riding a donkey was considered upscale.

As far as what the Millennium will be like. I am sure the changes will be staggering and profound. When the kingdom of this world becomes the kingdom of our Lord and Christ, there must of necessity be a great change of paradigm.Joseph Herrinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14729899526301330525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6945380218619316662.post-987083690712968102011-04-13T05:22:17.026-04:002011-04-13T05:22:17.026-04:00Brother Joseph,

You are so open about your daily struggles in just staying alive. I find your daily struggles actually very much like my own. The Walmart here is about 2-1/2 miles away and located on a 4 lane highway. I have walked on several occasions on the shoulder of the highway. The police come by because people think my vehicle has broken down somewhere. I lost my vehicle last September. I have never ever been without a car before. Like you, I have no visitors in my home due to separation from my grown children and family that the Lord has separated me from.

I find your thoughts on a scooter interesting because I had the very same idea - only problem is where does one put groceries? What about when it rains? When it snows? Keep us informed. I don't think the police will let me get by with bike riding on the shoulder of the road.

I am amazed that so many people still appear to have a "normal" life when so much has happend (the refining process) in my own. I heard one lady about a month ago state "it hasn't started yet." I then saw her put a "sun shield" in the driver's side window in the middle of winter (her windows were already tinted)!! [That has deep, spiritual meaning if you stop and think about it!] Her statement about "it not starting yet" - hmmm. I'll leave it at that.

Be blessed, Joseph. Do you think we will all be riding bikes in the Millenium??

JeaneAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6945380218619316662.post-27959360412438619222011-04-13T00:14:15.989-04:002011-04-13T00:14:15.989-04:00Dear Mariel,

It should be made in the area where the allergens are, for best results, in other words, "local honey".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6945380218619316662.post-11455386613653668722011-04-12T23:17:22.320-04:002011-04-12T23:17:22.320-04:00I haven't been here for a while because I had ...I haven't been here for a while because I had to change e-mail addresses, and I lost some of my correspondents. I'm glad you are doing well, Brother Joseph, with the bus, and bike, and all. I am doing OK with my fourth try on chemo starting today. I react with unacceptable side effects to most chemo because I have an "inborn error of metabolism" that rejects preservatives and polyethelene glycol. So I today started a chemo which is free of these things, made by a compounding pharmacy. What a long trek to find this, hope it works.

peace and joy,

MarielAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6945380218619316662.post-69790657287874157202011-04-12T21:22:01.957-04:002011-04-12T21:22:01.957-04:00Glad to hear you're doing well, Brother Joseph...Glad to hear you're doing well, Brother Joseph!

My sister got healed of allergies by taking locally grown honey, so that probably is the reason you're feeling better.

I suspect we will begin seeing radiation detectors at Walmart soon. (I wonder if they'll be "Made in Japan?")Johnnoreply@blogger.com
