Last night before I went to bed I noted that today’s date would be the 15th. This is 5+5+5, signifying a fulness of grace. I wondered at that moment what this day would bring, and how God’s grace might be manifested. It truly has been manifested in a most unusual manner, which I want to share with you here.
When I first checked my e-mail this morning, I noted that I had an e-mail from a sister in the United Kingdom who has written to me on occasion. Pam was forwarding to me a prophetic word in audio format from a sister in Christ who posts a weekly word on Blog Talk Radio. This sister’s name is Glynda Lomax, and Pam forwarded me the word she posted on April 7th, one week ago.
The audio was less than ten minutes. The prophetic word probably lasted about 7 minutes. I was impressed with the soundness of the word, and the urgency and importance of the message. I immediately forwarded it to about 20 people through e-mail, intending to also post it on today’s blog.
I then had to ride my bike to town. It was a nice day. The weather forecast when I left showed a partly cloudy skies, and no sign of rain. As I rode around town I began noticing it getting darker, but having seen that rain was not forecast, I was not too concerned. When I arrived back at the campground I am staying at, I noted that I had gotten some e-mail responses to the prophetic word sent out that morning. One was from Sandi, a sister in Christ who resides in the Chicago area.
Sandi had written to me about a week ago informing me of something the Lord had spoken to her. She said that it caused her much concern. Sandi said the Lord spoke to her that in six months time things would no longer be the same as she has known them.
Many have been hearing, and proclaiming, that major changes are coming to America. Barack Obama campaigned on a promise of “change.” The change coming to America will not be what she has desired, however. It will be more along the lines of the change being observed in Japan and the Middle East. There will be great upheaval in both the natural and political realms, and every facet of society and life will be tremendously impacted.
I asked Sandi to write down for me what the Father has spoken to her, and she shared the following with me.
Before I heard about the six months a couple weeks ago I felt I heard " Brace Yourself." I looked up some meanings for it and here is one that fits: "Get ready, be on guard, be prepared, uh oh, look out, heads up, look alive, (be) on your toes....."
I pondered those words and then a week later I felt I heard the Father say, "Six months from now your life and life itself will not look or be the same." I never want to say this was a "thus says the Lord," but I sense that this is what the Lord is saying. My devotion this morning was Psalm 31:15 "My times are in thy Hands," and then I listened to the prophecy from you given by Glynda Lomax. She says in it, "Your days and your times are all in My mighty hands, so there is no need for you to fear." The Lord confirmed to me through all of this, we need to Brace ourselves spiritually and maybe even physically for what is to take place. We need to be alert and ready and listen to his voice and, as she said in this word, keep our eyes on Him.It has been spoken and told over and over through the Parables blog that something is going to take place. Its just a matter of time. I pray that we are alert and ready.
I want to mention that when I head Glynda Lomax share the verse about our times being in God’s hands, it also grabbed my attention. I have a plaque hanging in my bus that has this verse on it. When she spoke these words, I turned around and looked at the plaque, sensing that the Father was bringing application to the message hanging there in my “ark.”
My times are in Thy Hand...
I also had a response from Andrew Eberly, a brother in Christ who resides in Indiana. Andrew wrote me the following:
Thanks for sharing this with me. I believe that I had a confirmation that this word was from the Lord even before I listened to it. I was checking my email this morning and I felt prompted to pray, "Let your judgments come Lord." No sooner had this prayer come off my lips then your email popped up in my inbox. After listening to the message, I knew it was the Lord who had prompted me to pray that prayer and He is going to answer it soon.
I know that the prophet Amos warns us about longing for the day of the Lord. Amos 5:17-19 reads,
"Woe to you who long for the day of the LORD! Why do you long for the day of the LORD? That day will be darkness, not light. It will be as though a man fled from a lion only to meet a bear, as though he entered his house and rested his hand on the wall only to have a snake bite him."
I would not say that I'm necessarily "longing for the day of the Lord," because I have a pretty good idea of what that day will bring forth based on the scriptures and other prophetic words that have been shared. What I long for is that my Lord be glorified in the earth and in me his child. Even though my flesh may cringe at the thought of what is coming, I know that these judgments are necessary and that when they come in the earth his people will learn righteousness. Isaiah 26:9 reads, "With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness."
I would say that my longing has been more in the vein of what Peter spoke of in his second epistle.
II Peter 3:10-12
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?"
This day of judgments and fire will be necessary for the refinement of many in the body. The Spirit has been reminding me lately of the following verse from 1 Peter 4:1, which reads, "Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin..." Unfortunately, for many, it will take great suffering for them to finally cease from sin.
The scriptures say that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8 reads, "He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." We have a choice set before us to either fall on the rock and willingly cease from sin by choosing the fear of the Lord and taking up our cross, OR the rock will fall on us and we will suffer greatly in order to cease from sin...
I love you brother and continue to pray for you and the Lord's grace and favor upon you!
Grace and peace,
These were two strong affirmations to this prophetic word, a word that is proclaiming that God’s people are to be preparing now for great changes to come soon to this nation. I decided to call my brother in Christ, Randy Simmons, and share the word with him, as well as these affirmations. Randy has met Andrew, and thinks much of him, so I knew he would appreciate hearing these things. Randy does not have a computer, so I normally print out the blogs and mail them to him and his grandfather. Since this message was in the form of an audio file, I wanted to play it for him over the phone.
When I called Randy he was not immediately able to answer the phone. He was outside, on top of the RV he has been working on, putting sealant on the roof. He had seen on the television earlier that large storms were forecast for our area, and he wanted to make sure his RV would not leak. I was struck by the significance of the timing of this.
God has from the very beginning told Randy that this RV will be an ark. The day Randy was led to purchase it he was seeing doves with branches and twigs in their mouths repeatedly. After speaking to the owner of the RV, Randy and I drove down the road asking the Father for affirmation of His will. We pulled over at a convenience store, and there in the parking lot was a tour bus with the image of a dove and olive branch in its beak.
The Father used this as affirmation to Randy that day that he was to purchase this RV, which needed much work, and to begin repairing it.
When Randy told me today that he was on the roof of the RV sealing it against water, I was reminded of Noah’s work on the ark.
“Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; you shall make the ark with rooms, and shall cover it inside and out with pitch.”
Randy was sealing his “ark” with the modern equivalent of pitch at the very moment I called him. The prophetic word I wanted to share with him spoke of each son and daughter of God making preparation for the days of judgment and calamity to come. Randy was actively involved in doing so, that he and his family might be preserved in the same way that Noah’s family was preserved.
When Randy told me that a storm was forecast, I got on the Internet to check the weather. I noted that the forecast had been changed from what was forecast early this morning. Now it was showing the image of a thundercloud with rain and lightning, where the image of a partly cloudy sky had been earlier.
When I had the Internet pulled up I noticed the news headlines that appear on my Google homepage. Today’s Headines read:
Violent Storms Kill Nine People
Nine is a number denoting judgment. When I clicked on the link at the Reuters news service I saw that early this morning violent storms and tornadoes had struck ARKansas. The judgment of God and the word “Ark” are companions. The Ark was God’s grace to mankind. It preserved a remnant alive in the day of judgment. The Father was speaking all this on the 15th (5+5+5). What I saw next really grabbed my attention.
On the same Reuters News Site I saw the following headline.
World’s Oldest Man Dies
Those who know their Bible history will understand the significance of this headline. The oldest man to ever live in the Bible was Methuselah. He lived to be 969 years old. (9 - 6 - 9 is Judgment - Flesh Man - Judgment). What you may not know is that Methuselah died the same year that the flood destroyed all mankind, except those eight souls in the ark. Some have understood the name Methuselah to mean “When he dies - judgment.”
How Did Methuselah Die?
by John D. Morris, Ph.D. *
One of the favorite characters in the Old Testament is Methuselah, who lived 969 years (Genesis 5:27), longer than anyone else recorded. His father was Enoch, of whom it is said he "walked with God" (5:24) but who was taken to heaven without dying at 365 years. Methuselah's son Lamech died a few years before the Flood at 777 years (5:31) after bearing Noah.
When Methuselah was born, his godly father must have prophetically known of coming things for his son's name means "when he dies, judgment," and interestingly enough, Methuselah died in the same year God judged the sinful world with the great Flood of Noah's day.
So, here is a headline, on this same day, announcing that the oldest man in the world has died, and everywhere I am receiving testimonies that the time of God’s judgment is near at hand.
So, without further delay, I will share with you the prophetic word by Glynda Lomax that I received in my inbox this morning. For those of you who receive the blog through e-mail, you may need to go to her website to listen to her broadcast for the date 4/7/2011. I have provided the link.
You can find this word in written format here:
It is the grace of God that He would tell His children to prepare, and to brace themselves, before the judgment falls. Let us avail ourselves of His grace, be led of the Spirit, and stand ready, sober, and watchful. Our times are in the Father's hands, and He is announcing what time it is.
May you be blessed with peace and understanding in these days,
